Window Fudge Cookies
Old Red Inn & Cottages  ~  North
Conway, NH

12 ounces chocolate bits
1/2 cup butter
20 ounces tiny colored marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Melt chocolate and butter over low heat
until thickened.  Let stand until cooled.

Put marshmallows and nuts in large
bowl.  Pour cooled chocolate mixture
over all and mix well.  Cut out three
12-inch square pieces of foil.  Sprinkle
with powdered sugar.  Divide fudge
mixture evenly on each foil square.  Shape
into log about 2-inches wide and
refrigerate overnight.  To serve, cut into
1/2 inch slices.  This will keep well in
refrigerator for weeks.
This recipe part of a virtual "cookie tour" of 17 inns in the Mt. Washington Valley of
New Hampshire...a real annual cookie and gingerbread tour that takes place the first
weekend of every December.
