Finding Norman Rockwell in Small Town America – Maine photographers
were invited to recreate Rockwell’s famous images and add a few of their own
inspired by the Saturday Evening Post Illustrations. It’s fabulous!
The Norman Rockwell Code- Be part of So. Maine’s Movie Premier of the
hilarious film spoofing that “other “ film- The Da Vinci Code. It’s too much fun
to miss!

Notes from the Heart...
Ah, summer. Unfortunately it isn't completely relaxing for me because I work
from home and have children -- and feel like a circus juggler at times. But my 16
year old daughter has been in Australia for two weeks, and my 10 year old son
has been playing with neighborhood friends...and in the afternoon we head for
the neighborhood pool for a dip (where I bring my work along). Can't
complain...life could be much worse! But the only place I can truly relax is on the
Cape. And we are going there for two weeks starting this Saturday. I will also
take a little vacation from putting out my newsletter. No wifi on the campsite :)
But The Heart of New England will be back mid-August. See you then! Marcia

“I love the remoteness of the light on Mt. Desert Rock (1830/47) and Saddleback
Ledge (1839) Lights,” said Capt. Brenda Walker of the schooner Isaac H. Evans
who has logged 14 lighthouses in a single cruise.“Those are lights that folks can't
hop in their car and go see but they can see on a windjammer cruise.”
Recipe: Fresh Tomato Pasta Sauce
In making this sauce use only the best tomatoes, garlic and basil, all of which are
appearing now in local farmers’ markets and farm stands.
